I started working as a freelancer on the largest Russian online marketplace in 2005. Trying to automate routine tasks of a web developer I grew a strong interest in frameworks, libraries and leveraging design patterns to solve problems. I have contributed ideas and implementations to the open source community, most notably to Zend Framework. More projects are published on GitHub.

In 2008 I graduated from Southern Federal University with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and joined a CRM startup Solve360 by Norada where I worked with a wide range of technologies and 3rd party systems. During my years with the company I have participated in a number of development conferences and wrote a guest article for the Google Apps Developers blog.

I joined Upwork's Platform & Infrastructure team in 2013. After working remotely for a year, my family moved to Santa Clara, California to work in the HQ.
